Stefano has been a GP in Torbay since 1993 when he completed his General Practice Training Locally. Through his interest in Psychiatry he started working at Shrublands House Drug and Alcohol Service in 1997 and took up a regular day a week post in 1998.
In August 2000 in collaboration with Torbay Primary Care Trust and Shrublands house Drug and alcohol service he established the Primary Care Addiction Service. This trains and resources Gps to treat up to three of their own addicts.
In addition to his General practice work Stefano continues to work for the Primary Care addiction service every Wednesday as Clinical lead.
Kieren McCaffrey CPN
Kieren provides the Primary Care Addiction Service with years of experience & a clear framework which enables him to effectively help clients and Gp colleagues alike.
He works on a full time basis at “G” Grade.
On Wednesdays in conjunction with Stefano they together key-work 24 clients from the specialist waiting list.
The rest of the week he is involved in assessing and reviewing patients for other GPs who have undertaken training and are prescribing for them within general practice.
